Easter ... Pt 3

Easter Sunday...

...I got up early to catch this magnificent sunrise...
~
I mixed up dough to make hot cross buns...
~
Bri, enjoying her Easter chocolates...
~
Kirby snapped Gus!
~

The buns rose quite well.  It think they would have been better if I had kneaded them with a stand mixer...
~

They turned out well...
~
~
We had lunch at the Marion Bay Tavern where we were joined by Nate’s parents.  Delicious Oysters Kilpatrick on the left and Mexican on the right...shared with Gus.
~
Super moist and fresh King George whiting...
~

When we got back, we made our way down the cliff by way of a very narrow, steep path - which after getting back up later in the day - I would never attempt it again...it could so easily go wrong and turn deadly!
~

~
Anyway, we fished for a couple of hours - caught this leather jacket! So excited!
~
Michael caught this yellow fin whiting...
~

...and Gus got a double header - two rock cod at once!
~

For our last hurrah, Michael and Bri made a seafood paella.  It was so tasty and that squid is one he caught earlier that day!
~
~
~

Just the right amount of heat and it had that nice crust on the bottom too! Yummo!
~

A final Monday sunrise - time to pack up and head back to Adelaide.
~
Oh, the traffic was horrendouse! It took us an hour to move 10 kms, this side of Port Wakefield...
~

Bumper to bumper...
We finally got back in after 4pm - now we have repack and hook on Pearl, ready for out little trip to Kangaroo Island tomorrow!  Stay tuned!
Cheers - Joolz xx
