I need magnification!

The pattern for my auntie's petit point has arrived from Canada so I hope to get stitching the remainder of it. There's not a lot to do but I need to work out just what stitches she has done so as not to miss any tiny stitches...

Getting there...

After renting a cpap machine since last November, it was time to buy my own.
~
I went for the ResMed AirSense 10 Elite...
~
...with a Mirage FX (for her) nasal mask. I didn't like the full face mask even though I am a snorer.
~
So I have been really trying to get more hours usage each night with some better results than previously.
~

I can download my score each morning which tells me how I went ...
~
I am aiming at 75 and above as previously I was only using the machine for about 2 hours a night before ripping it off my face! I am more tolerant of it now.
~
Any less than 5 'events' in the time you have it on, is good so I am doing well there.
~
Anyone out there using a cpap machine and loving life? Or not? I'd love to hesr from you...
Cheers - Joolz xx

An Easter selfie...

I love my family so much! Its now Easter tradition to spend it together. There is less stress than at Christmas time and we just chill out and enjoy each others company, good food and wine.
~
I'm still having trouble with BlogGo on my iPad yet can post okay on my iPhone.  I haven't changed any sttings so it's a bit baffling...

Easter feasting...

Saturday night we ate at the Cinnamon Club on The Parade.  The place has had three name changes over the years (Cilantro, Hazara and now CC) with different management but the food remains the same authentic, delicious Indian cuisine.  The decor is modern and the place is squeaky clean.  No smeary glasses and sticky menus here!
~
~
Samosas...
~
~
Chicken tikka dosa...
The dosa is a fermented crepe made with rice batter and black lentils.  Ours was stuffed with chicken tikka, vegetables and spices and came with the accompanying sauces.
~
Lamb Rogan Josh and naan bread....
~
Prawn curry with pulao rice....
~
Another yummy experience!
~
On Easter Sunday we ventured up into the Adelaide Hills to Pike and Joyce restaurant and winery...
~
Beautiful views of the valley, covered in vines and apple trees....
~
~
Tasmanian scallops...for the other three...
~
I had roasted autumn figs, goats cheese, honey and sorrel salad - oh, my!
~
Bri and I had roasted duck breast, heirloom beets, chick pea and red onion and jus gras...
~
Gus had the grilled John Dory fillet, pearl cous cous, lemon, zucchini and herb salad...
~
Kirby enjoyed her herb marinated lamb backstrap, roasted carrot and garlic yoghurt.  Sides were duck fat roasted new potatoes and salad of mixed leaves, green beans and Dijon mustard creme...
~
We only ordered one dessert - rich Belgian Chocolate mousse cake with white choc and raspberry icecream, autumn berries and almond crunch - with 4 spoons!
~
After lunch, we ventured to Anderson Hill where we sat and had another glass of wine...
~
~
~
~
~
Our designated driver had a soft drink and was given an Easter egg as her reward!
~
Then we hopped in the car and choofed off down some country roads to another winery...
~
~
This is Golding Wines - stunning grounds....
~
Wood fired pizzas and platters are on offer...
~
~
One more for the road and a macchiato for the driver...
~
It was chill out time when we got home, Bri making use of her hammock...
~
I made flat breads to have with some beef skewers Gus was barbecuing for dinner...

Happy Easter...

Our Easter tradition is to spend it with the girls, either at our home or theirs...
~
Good Friday dinner consisted of Zesty prawns...
~
Gus just panfried them - delicious entrée!
~
Honey glazed salmon...it looks a bit over done but believe me it was buttery and beautiful!
~
~
~
Kirby made Bailey's mini cheesecakes for dessert.
~
This morning I made these Hot Cross Buffins...
~
~
Here they are sugar glazed and crossed...
~
~
This afternoon Kirby took Gus off to the movies (to stop him from doing maintenance jobs at the house and to relax) and I made these sugar cookies while Bri slept, ready for a night shift.
~
She's taking them and some buffins to share with the nursing staff tonight.
~
Heading out for some Indian tonight then up into the Adelaide Hills for lunch tomorrow.
~
Cheers - Joolz xx
